Poopy Hands

The other day I was cleaning toilets while Ben bathed Lucas. As a matter of fact, it was Mother's Day, so Ben felt really guilty and offered to clean the toilets. I wouldn't let him because when he cleans the toilets he puts his bare hands in there. HIS NAKED HANDS! I told him he could only clean the toilets if he used the appropriate scrubber tool and did not put his hand in. Needless to say, I cleaned the toilets myself. I don't really care - he was watching Lucas and it only takes a few minutes. I did have him clean the sink though, scrubbing with a toothbrush and all.

Ben says that putting your hand in the toilet is no grosser than changing a diaper and that you get just as much poop on your hand. GROSS. You probably actually get less poop on your hand by just sticking it in the toilet, but still... it's just foul. To think I let him touch me with those toilet scrubbing hands...

Yes, I know if I want Ben to do work around the house I can't make him do it my way, and that I have to accept his way of doing things, even if it's not how I would do it.... But, poopy hands? Come on!

How do you make your can shine?

(On another note: I do love the way Ben paints the house. He just put crown molding up and after he was done he went around the whole room with a little tiny artist's paintbrush making sure all the paint was perfect again. He had to use 4 different colors. He does this every time we paint a wall - always perfect!)

I'm the same way about letting Tan help clean because I like it done my way! I don't know why, i should just be happy he's helping! Oh well. Oh and I definitely use a scrub brush for my can!

um yeah, poopy hands are no bueno (as they would say down south). i'm all about a scrub brush and some gloves.

baby diapers are way different from toilets. sorry ben.

your family dynamic is just like ours. i am super particular about cleaning and other things, and pete could care less. he's really good at finances and other adult things that i still don't get.
