I wanted to go a little out of the box for my shoe today. This is "Michelle" by Betsey Johnson. We all know Betsey Johnson has crazy stuff - most is too crazy for me, but honestly, this shoe is pretty dang cute. If you had a special event and a really cute dress, Michelle could be the cherry to your outfit sundae. She also comes in green and pink, which is even more wild, but could be even more cute! Seriously imagine the green/pink shoes with a pink flirty, flowy dress.

The other day when I was in Albuquerque, Ben called me and told me that there was a huge fly in our bathroom. He said he killed it and more and more kept coming out and he killed them all - about 20 of them. He threw them all away. BUT, the next day he killed even MORE.
Apparently while we were out of town some flies got busy in the bathroom and made a bunch of babies. GROSS! Luckily I was out of town and Ben murdered every last one of them. And luckily the evidence was in a cup on the bathroom counter waiting upon my arrival. I think I would rather not have known about this event, but the cup of flies is too funny not to share.There are also a few blood stains on the bathroom window. Ben can murder bugs really well, but the guy leaves an evidence trail a mile long.

Fetish Friday... a little late

Dang, we looked good! Joanna (left) scored a sweet pair of $325 shoes on sale at Dillards for 75% off and I got my Nine West shoes just in time for the wedding.
The bride looked good, too, of course.

Fetish Friday

Anyone feel like wearing a 6" heel with a 2" platform? Me either - sounds like a trip to urgent care to me. I saw this and couldn't pass it up for a Fetish Friday. This is a Guiseppe Zanotti. It retails for $750, but it's on sale for $450. I don't know who would wear it... it is one of the hot picks on Piperlime, though.

In other news, there is this new site called Shop It To Me. It's a cool little site that shops for sales for you. You put in the brands you like and it sends you an emails about what is on sale. I signed up for just a couple brands. Yesterday I got an email and discovered my Nine West shoes were on sale even more than before, so I ordered them from Piperlime and we'll see if they'll work for the wedding. Piperlime has free shipping and free returns, so it's a win-win situation.

The Bachelorette

Now, I'm not the kind of girl who is devoted to The Bachelor. But, when my poor husband is at work and I'm home alone until the late night hours, I am the kind of girl who will watch The Bachelorette while I fold my laundry. It's much less annoying and... well, you know.
Anyhow, here are my pics to go far in the game: Jason and Graham.

Jason is a 31 year-old single father, account exec. Graham is a 29 year-old pro basketball player. I like Jason more, but both are very sweet and handsome, but not too good looking. There are some guys who are way too into their looks and think they are so pretty - the kind that rip off their shirts so she will feel their muscles.
As I watched, I thought, What would Ben have done in this situation to get her attention? I think he would have done something very creative, sweet, and funny to catch her eye... most likely involving something he designed... a card & poem, perhaps. Good thing he got me w/o wasting all that time on TV!

Let's hope none of our kids do this... or smoke with cigarettes. We might have to take video games away for a week!

Fetish Friday

Today I took it upon myself to find an affordable shoe that you could just go out and buy. I decided I would look at Payless instead of searching Dillards, Piperlime, and Macys (we all know I wouldn't have found a deal at Nordstrom).
